Teen Certification Class

The Teen Weight Training Certification Class is required of all young members, ages 12-15, in order to use the Fitness Center with parental supervision.

The course gives a general introduction to the “do’s and don’ts” of fitness and weight training, emphasizing safety, proper technique, weight selection and frequency, and gym etiquette.

Teens must demonstrate competency on the equipment and pass a written quiz to work out with parental supervision.  This two-day course is a must for all teens that are new to weight training.  Teens must be present for both days and parents must accompany 12-13 year olds.

12-13 Year Olds
Tuesday & Thursdays, 4:30-5:30pm
April 22 & 24
April 29 & May 1
May 13 & 15

14-15 Year Olds
Tuesday & Thursdays, 4:30-5:30pm
May 6 & 8
May 20 & 22
May 27 & 29
