Karen Parks joins AVSP after 5 years in the publishing industry with heavy concentration on marketing and advertising. She moved to the Northern Virginia area in 2002 after studying Journalism at West Virginia University.
Born and raised in Lansdale, PA, Karen has had a lifelong love of sports. She played competitive softball and soccer for over 12 years and has been an avid swimmer for as long as she can remember.
In her time off, Karen can be found reading anything she can get her hands on, watching movies, beaching in the summer, skiing in the winter and cheering on all Philadelphia sports teams. Most of all she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Chris, a Loudoun County high school teacher and football and lacrosse coach, their daughter, Maia and dog, Samson, an American Staffordshire Terrier.
