H1N1 Notice

If you or a member of your family has been exposed to flu-like symptoms please be courteous to others and refrain from your workouts for 2-3 days.  The incubation period for seasonal flu and H1N1 is 2-5 days with greater chance of contraction during the first 3 days.  Flu-like symptoms include:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Body/head aches
  • Chills
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea and Vomiting

 

During this cold and flu season please encourage you and your family stay home when sick, increase frequency of hand washing, wipe down equipment after use, and report any confirmed cases to management if the member of your family participated in AVSP programs.

AVSP Parking Lot Closed 9/29-10/5 For VillageFest

The AVSP Parking Lot will be CLOSED from Tuesday, Sept. 29, through Monday, Oct. 5, for ride set-up, inspection and break-down.  Parallel parking is available for AVSP users on Pavilion Parkway and Christiana Drive from Tuesday, Sept. 29 through Thursday, Oct. 1, and Sunday and Monday, Oct. 4 & 5.

Pavilion Way will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, Oct. 3. During VillageFest, parking is available on Christiana Drive.


Parking is not available at any time on Ashburn Village Boulevard. You may be ticketed if you park here.
 
The AVSP Parking Lot will reopen Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Pavilion Reopening 

The reopening of the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilionindoor pool has been extended until at least mid-afternoon on Tuesday, September 1. We will be opening the outdoor pool at 7:00amuntil the indoor pool is available.

Because of the work done on the indoor pool last week,the temperatures will need to bemaintained around 78 degrees for approximatelya week after opening. All Aqua Aerobics classes have been cancelled through Labor Day weekend.

AVSP Close Week 2009

The Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion is planned to be closed for annual maintenance and repairs from Monday, August 24 through Friday, August 28. Please plan for the facility being unavailable during these days. Please check the back throughout the week for any delay in reopening.

We will offer a limited schedule of group exercise classes which will take place at the Lakes Recreation Center. Reservation are required for all classes and can be made at the AVSP Front Desk August 17 - 21. Any classes that do not have a minimum of 5 reservations by 5pm on August 21 will not run. Please click here to view the modified Close Week Group Exercise Schedule. The Pavilion plans to reopen as usual at 7am on Saturday, August 29. Members then can enjoy the final week of outdoor pool and marina use before it closes for the season on Monday, September 7. For those attending RISE Camp and Tennis Camps August 24 - 28, please remember that camp will be held at the Mills Recreation Center. All other regular programs and activities are canceled for this week.

July 11th - Movie Night

Due to the forecasted rain, the showing of IRON MAN will be moved to the AVSP Gymnasium.  The movie will start promptly at 8:00pm.
